Protip for the Engie Update

So I've known this for a long time but I thought I'd spread the wisdom on to you all.

During updates, many people often experience very slow update speeds (personally I would get 10kb/s) due to the extreme load on the server. It would take 30 minutes for my game to download something simple, like the heavy update. HOWEVER, there is a great, 2 second fix to this. You can change your download server. Many people play TF2 in NA and Europe, and most people here are signed up for a download server on these continents, because that's where they live.

I personally change mine to Japan or Africa, whatever I'm in the mood for. As you might have guessed, very few people play TF2 in these places so there is a much smaller load on the servers. This results in a quicker download and a happier TF2 player!

Mine downloaded the entire update when it went live in about 15 seconds.

Didn't helped em at all because I was already downloading at 2Mbit/s which is normal for me on Steam. Protip; during the night people usualy sleep in Europe

Wow, of course I miss on of the updates I'm looking the most forward to. Personally I'd download from Iceland.
