Sorry to necropost, but how do I connect to the server? Allready tried the url mumble://mbl5.gameservers.com:10010 but it asks me for a username which I don't have/know off :/

I would add the server to your favorites. When you do so you can choose a username.

Aw, I'm in! For those having trouble this is what I used:

Servername: Pulp
Addres: mbl5.gameservers.com
Port: 10010
Username: [your name here]

when i try to go to the webpage its has the 404 error not found.

Vlad, its not a webpage. It is the mumble host. It is basically the URL to where it is located, and not an I.P.

Mumble sucks...you guys sound like shit in it, why did we not go with vent or ts again?

Muble urls can be connected to the mumble program, just like Steam urls. You need to install mumble first and hook the url up with mumble. Firefox does this automatically, no idea how other browsers do this.

@LieuTennet: Quality is low because there is a low max bandwidth on the selected package. I had it set to max settings because of my decent internet speed, when I connected it got limited to a low setting so that's why.

You can change the audio codec in mumble if you're not enjoying the sound quality, so I was told. Also, upon first setup, you can choose the sound quality as low, medium, or high.

Mumble was quite hard to setup but we figured out most of it now. We can use this for the scrim next friday. Each teamcaptain (greezy/jonesie) will get the password for his own teams channel from Jameless.

I'll be using XFire. Siphex, Epps, Cake, myself al agreed to using XFire.

Jonesie, why are you hating on mumble? Faster responses, positional audio, changeable codecs... I don't get it.

Because Xfire can see what games your playing other then steam, can also setup a community page and record videos as you play where mumble is just a communication program. He's young, give it time and he'll think back at how much xfire sucks compare to mumble.

I has mumble before. I didn't like as much. In XFire you get fast responses.

So Jonesie, what you are saying is because you don't like Mumble all of us need to get X-Fire? Last time I checked China was still a few thousend kilometers away from me...

I dislike X-Fire, I tried it and hated it. The GUI is fugly, confusing and over-crowded with useless items I don't want, the sounds make my ear bleed and I don't see the point of using it since I already have Steam which btw has to run because I buy my games on it. The only reason I said yes was because you can't fix your mic for some reason which by the way sounds like total bullshit. Check the volume levels of Windows and TF2, my guess is that they are low or X-fire/Skype is fucking with the signal.

I keep my laptop clean and maintained, I treat it with respect and to me X-fire is just like a IE toolbar; unwanted, obsolete and never seen because I use Firefox to begin with. I don't want unwanted programs hogging my resources, annoy me with messages and slow down the boot.
