So yeah, my new PC is fucking great. TF2 launches in 20 seconds. Connects in 30 seconds. Used to be 20 minutes and 30 minutes.

And it's ALWAYS smooth. Everything maxed, on my native res. I love this computer.

Its well worth the 40$, if you don't believe it, you can download the trial and play the game as long as ya like, but the level cap is 15 and you can't join clans

I do the same thing on my ancient gaming rig. I run it without phong, though.

So... you run it on your native resolution, eh? Add "-windowed -noborder" to TF2's launch options. NAOW. DOO EET

I used to do that on my old computer awhile back. Things tended to pop up over it more. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

I've heard tons of people complain about the goddamn Windows key minimizing their game and getting them killed while they wait a minute or two for it to come back up. If it's windowed, nothing interesting happens.

Still sounds a bit useless, if you just pay some more attention to what you press (aka know your keyboard) you wouldn't hit the winkey to begin with. Also, bind crouch to shift, real life saver

The borderless windowed mode is great to have when your using dual screen to switch from playing TF2 and browsing the web. Since we all know the steam overlay is a huge lagfest failure.

^ oh yeah, that's why I did it. Then of course my PC went to shit so I used one monitor. Maybe I'll run 2 on this PC. I'm not sure yet.
