How do you feel about desktop eyecandy?
Some of us like to pimp their desktops with programs such as BumpTop, Rainmeter and Object/RocketDock. Now those programs can make your computer experience better but most of the times they just add more stuff you don't need or already had. Anyway what I am wondering how you guys feel about eyecandy and if you use any eyecandy introducing programs (and why).
As for me I prefer functionality over eyecandy. I can work a lot faster by using my keyboard shortcuts/command line than by using some eyecandy bar. Anyway this is my setup:
-Win7 taskbar with Winamp, Libraries and Firefox pinned to them.
-Rainmeter as a sidebar with the weather, Winamp control, a Dutch news feed, wifi information and some basic PC information. Always a nice thing to have that information in reach
-My desktop itself is completely empty since I run programs by using the run command or by typing their name in the start menu.

You can use rainmeter to make winamp or other meda players appear right on your desktop.
Anyways I love my objectdock, rainmeter, rainlendar, and fences just because they make my comp look super sexy, and they've never given me any problems before, besides the fact that I had to make my own start button for objectdock and it crashes occasionally. Totally worth it though.

MEDIA KEYS and a REMOTE CONTROL. In other words why would I use something on my desktop when I can use those nifty keys or my remote (or my phone) when I'm on my bed? Besides the only times I see my desktop is when I have no windows open which is never xD

Well you seem to not mind the clutter of having many windows open. You're more about functionality. I can get slightly less functionality but much more shiny eyecandy with rainmeter/objectdock. Worth it in my opinion.
