ive always gamed on a laptop and i dont want a pc cause i have to take my laptop to school.

Yes, desktops are cheaper and less outdated, but they also limit you to one room which is what I hate.
I'd rather be able to go outside in the summer with my laptop then have to sit inside in a hot dark room being everything but social. I enjoy taking it downstairs and talk with my parents while browsing the web and the thing I love most about how mobile a laptop is how easy it is for me to hook it up to any television set making it perfect for a night filled with movies. Not too mention how great it is to lay down on your bed with your laptop next to you. Bed + Movie = heaven!

Anyway, it depends on your personal preferences and most importantly, your budget. The more money you have the better they get (€1000 = quad core, 1gb video, 8gb ram, 500GB~1TB HDD). As for me, I love my laptop and I would never trade it for a desktop, but that might be because my laptop is ment to be a desktop replacement

Also, first thing I did after I bought my laptop; I removed those stickers saying NVIDIA, Win Vista, Intel and Lightscribe. They really irritated my hands xD

When I bought my desktop, they couldn't really put stickers on the front because it's kind of vented there, so they just stuck them in the motherboard box,
I realized something looked off.

I used to have a wireless USB modem. It cost a ton, but it was so damn 1337... you could plug it into your laptop and walk around town while browsing the web, Wi-Fi be damned.

I kinda have the same only I call it 'Hook my phone with internet plan on my laptop and activate shared Internet'. I only do that while on the move tho, when I'm standing still/sitting on a bench I just use someone elses unprotected wifi signal because it is faster :p

oh also the battery life is the one for high peformance. im im outside off the charger on balanced it lasts about 4 hrs.
