Dr. Acula Panda is a jerk...

I'm pretty sure this goes here. Anyway, yesterday we were screwing around and we decided to do a melee battle, no admins were on so we just decided to play melee only monitored by a sniper or two killing people who shot. So anyway, we were screwing around when acula comes on. We tell him it was melee and he just kept shooting. We tried to tell him to melee, but he tried to say it was a game with guns, that's what it is suppose to be for. I understood that, but under these circumstances we couldn't change it to melee only, and he had a full server of around 6v6 to 7v7 on, so we had a lot of people going along. Anyway, we kept playing and this guy mispronounces melee so Acula hops right on it and keeps repeating in a way that is just being a jerk over all and trolling the guy. This guy was an applicant so I expected a lot better behavior from him. We tried to tell him to stop, he did after a minute. He left shortly after before greezy came on and we had a fun time.
So yeah, could you talk this guy straight? He also sounded slightly immature when he tried to explain that it was a shooting game.

how about votemelee ?

Think you need an admin to do that option, otherwise it's just tell peopleto melée with everyone else. Also I haven't had any positive experience with acula, so I would believe uber more then acula.

Well , I would understand that he would not melee . There should be a votemelee so that it ensures everyone will melee . It's not right if you shun acula because this game does utilize melee and ranged weapons . If you just say that it's melee only , it's not really official if all weapons are not stripped . Imo , the votemelee option should be enabled again .

Don't think the votemelee option is the issue here google, the issue here is the immaturity of one of our member from the applicant and he also troll as well stated by uber. He also treated me bad as well, he was very hostile and wasn't joking at all. But when a clan member is on, he becomes different and doesn't show the immature side.

How to beat a troll? Don't feed him. Just fight with weapons so the troll won't have anything to troll about. If his immaturity persists, then we can just abort his trial process or ban for being an asshole .

We removed the votemelee because the constant spamming of that vote was getting irritating just like votesniper. Also it changes the gameplay and people leave the server. So we removed and made it an option for admins only.

Yeah, the community just wasn't mature enough to handle votesniper and votemelee. Maybe, one day....

I love how I post this and everyone is serious and two people come on and start insulting me. Anyway, I really do think we need an explanation...

Well, Uber I've been on the server on occasion, and people have been telling me to do melee. All I said to them was, this is a Orange 24/7 server not a melee 24/7 server. If you want to do melee, go to a melee server!

Acula, come on buddy, no serious response that wasn't such a very good move at all!

Again Jonesie, find a melee server and send me a message and I will never ask an admin for melee only ever again.

Yeah seriously, melee only servers are quite hard to find.

Also, most people don't want to melee all out on a melee server, they just want a little fun with people they're already playing with.

And a lot of people actually want to play a first person shooter. Melee only isn't some god-given right it's a crappy mod that empties servers.

Not true, sometimes, people really enjoy and more join.
But it depends, it can make peeps leave too.

That sometimes is a never. Not once throughout all of my FPSes and clans has melee mode actually attracted people for longer than ten minutes.

A couple of nights ago, I kept the server full for like half an hour with melee only. This is the night uberlord references in his first post with "then greezy came and we had a fun time."
