I am not super excited to see this movie, but I want to see it and I will see it in theater's, in 3D.
Re: T-T-T-Toy Story 3!!!!! :O
I hope the whole 3D gimmick dies fast.. Most 3D movies are just one big Graphics show (Avatar), dont need 3D/has unnoticeable 3D features (Alice in Wonderland) or are modified to look 3D even though they were never recorded in 3D (upcoming Titanic 3D).
Sure it could be cool for gaming and such but from what I see at the moment it's mostly showing off putting more money into making it 3D than in an actual story.
Also, I don't expect much from Toy Story 3. I mean the series where fun when I was a kid and completed, why reboot the series about 10 years after the last movie? I might be a bit skeptical here but to me it sounds like making a quick dollar. Kinda what Nintendo is doing with all the 'Mario' games...

I watched it today. Pretty good ending to the series. I will discuss it once you all see it as well because I don't want to spoil it.

One they can get a form of auto stereoscopism that doesn't only have one viewpoint, it would be awesome to have that in theaters. No glasses required.
On that topic...3DS anyone?

So here's my opinion on 3D stuff.
Animated movie 3D is great! It allows you to feel more in the scene. You are already using your imagination to keep up with an animated film. Once you add the 3-dimensional round heads to it everything feels more realistic. They have been doing 3D animated films for years now. They help me feel like a kid again.
Real life movies, lame. They always try to throw something at the screen or glass shatter or something stupid to have something fly at you. Super corny and actually makes you step out of the surreal moment the movie was trying to create simply to either say whoa or that was stupid. This affects the grasp the movie may or may not have had on you.

3D should be an extension to telling a story by film, not the other way around what most current 3D movies do (again, Avatar). I mean fine, we get it. You can make things look 3D, big deal! Now stop leaching from how new and special it is and come up with some proper movies damnit >.<
And sure, there are bound to be good 3D movies, not to mention 3D gaming but at the moment most of them suck.
Also, stereoscopic pictures ftw (if you can look cross-eyed that is)

Nah, I just find it weird that they continue it X years after Toy Story 2. Don't know if I will see it, my guess is that I will download it because if my friends want to see it then they want to see it in 3D which goes crappy considering how I wear glasses...
Re: T-T-T-Toy Story 3!!!!! :O
I wear glasses and we saw that Shrek movie in 3D the other day. It was nice, the 3D glasses fit right over mine. Also, I like the new 3D glasses compared to the old red and blue glasses.Sgt Pepper wrote:Nah, I just find it weird that they continue it X years after Toy Story 2. The new ones are better yes. I remember playing on the DS with the colored ones for half an hour. I got an headache and my eyesight was messed up; everything was red in one eye and cyaan in the other.UberLord wrote:I wear glasses and we saw that Shrek movie in 3D the other day. Anyway, my glasses are just a few millimeters bigger than the room inside a 3d glass making them a tight unpleasant fit :/
