I am a sixteen year old male from Missouri a state in the United States of America. I enjoy playing on Orange X. It is the only way TF2 was meant to be played. Engineer, Medic, and CP2 camper are my three favorite classes in no order. Other than TF2 history, music, and reading fill my days. Kaiser Brule would make an excellent member to the clan because i could give a passion for the game the clan and Orange X that few of my competitors have.


P.S. If I don't make it I will still play on your server.

We have an Orange X server, yes, but no one really plays seriously there. We also have a rotation server which does stock and good custom. This has more serious play. We also hold pugs and scrims but from the sounds of it, you don't really have any idea what those are about.

Not that I mean any offense to your views, but you are wrong. Orange is not the way TF2 was ever meant to be played. It is a nooby map that attracts a lot of noobs. It's unbalanced, and although it may be fun sometimes, it's basically an abomination of the TF2 gameplay mindset.

This. But it doesn't mean that it's not one of my favorite maps. I liked "dod_orange_the_tower" before TF2 as well.

Greezy would you please copy and paste the I P address of the less nooby server and I know more than you think I know.

K I'm about to go in game, so when I'm done, I'll copy paste the IP's of good servers in my history. To start, our rotation server is not that nooby by comparison, you can get there by typing !servers and choosing it.

Okay went and got you some servers. To connect to these, open console and type connect. Follow that with a space, and then the server IP.

69.147.229.168:27015 --- This is a Highlander (18 slots, only one of each class allowed on each team) server. It rotates PL and CP maps. Popular, always filled, always consists of excellent balance and strategy. Also, having only one of each class allowed forces you to actually get good at every class.

216.130.7.105:27015 --- This is a 16 slot competitive PUB server. Teamtalk, no damage spread, no crits, respawn times, and it rotates competitive CP maps. Good practice for PUBS, Scrims, and just to make yourself better.

64.94.100.66:27015 --- 16 slot competitive arena server. No crits, no damage spread, respawn times. Arena helps you because it teaches you not to rush into stupid situations and suicide. Good practice as well.

209.40.97.234:27017 --- Deathmatch server. Fast paced gameplay. It's a completely different mode. No crits, no respawn time, no damage spread. Improves your reflexes, and lots of competitive players. Occasionally you'll get some top tier CEVO players in there.

206.123.125.70:27015 --- Ammomod server. This server is mainly for demoman and soldier practice. Ammomod is very hard to explain. Basically, you have unlimited ammo and health and you type !add to enter rooms, where you go 1 on 1 with someone else in that room. It teaches you to aim, dodge, and airshot. Don't go on here until you're very familiar with soldier or demoman, or else you will get your ass whooped. The top players in the game come here, like blight players and complexity players. Carnage and TLR have personally faced and killed me before.

Side note - To find your own not nooby servers, look for these things.

12-18 player slots: Less spammy, more competitive. Draws better players as noobs tend to drift towards higher player counts.
No crits: Crits are based on luck and luck alone. They don't prove skill. Servers that want to be competitive will have these turned off.
No damage spread: Makes it so shotgun/scattergun bullets go in the same pattern every time, not randomly within certain parameters. Just brings a little more skill to the scout game, ensuring they can't get lucky/unlucky with the way their bullets spread.
Respawn Times: The game was meant to be played with respawn times. Balance breaks when you can leave your spawn, rocket jump onto a medic and suicide to kill him, then rinse and repeat every life with another enemy. This is only one example. Overall, it's a lot less spammy and a lot more tactical. People play to win more than they play to kill.
Stock Maps: These maps have been approved by VALVe for a reason. They're the best of the best. They're the most balanced for each class. The best are particularly the CP maps. CTF maps aren't as good because they lead to a lot of engineer turtling in the intelligence rooms (which has become much more effective with the engie update). There is a reason Orange is the seventh most popular map in the game but has not and will not ever be approved by VALVe. It sucks.

If it's a DM or AM server, having instant respawn is fine. Same with having non-stock maps. If you want a compromise between competitive and nooby, 20-24 players is your best bet.

Greezy, I'm going to be quite honest with you. The servers that you've just posted up, sound good. I used to go on Deathmatch Servers. Then I stopped, my reflexes just went.
