Wow James, leave it then. The occasional bonk scout can be overlooked. Actually when i knew he was there i stickyjumped back into spawn, he then tried to rush me and got ripped to shreds by the sentries anyways hehe.

It has issues with materials and cubemaps. So some people see black and purple checkerboards in reflections.

He said he did. Do you want to take a look and see if you can fix it? I don't have the original file I only have the bsp but if I am not mistaken you can fix the cubemaps after you already have the bsp without decompiling?

we have modified the orange_x map very nicely! you can find it on FPS_banana.com if you want to take the easy way out...

We have our own modified orange but there's some reflection issues, it is in the process of being fixed.

More or less... Jameless asked me if I could fix the issue, so I went to tendo and asked him for the map file. He told me it's been fixed already, ask jameless. Jameless said it wasn't working. Then tendo (who apparently thought I was actually jonesie) said no, I don't like you, you can't have my map.

If you want tell me the problem and I'll fix it. Since I have Tendo's map from before. It is not the latest map of his but it's close enough. Then I can check with Tendo to see if it works. And also make the necessary modifications to look like his new map.

I would advise against that because you probably have a version of his map that made the server crash. Since then he has made a new version from scratch which has much improved:
-tunnel from last cp into spawn instead of ramp and sliding doors
-glass roof on the spawn
-more blue/red colors in the tower
-balcony's on cp2/4 for soldiers and demomen to stand and defend (have to test drive this)
-improved lighting

Even with the minor reflection issues, we should still be using tendos new map now anyways until we get a fixed version. It's miles better anyways.

can you elaborate on crashing? anyway here is the link to our revised MAP... It puts up some walls on spawn pt 2 to make the snipers come out and play more =P along with some other good ideas

The previous version had ramps leading into spawn and sliding doors. The ramps on blu/red base were only accessible for resp. blu/red players. Otherwise it would be invisible. At random moments when touching the ramp the server crashed. I mostly happened after playing on it for 10 to 40 minutes. But that doesn't matter now because the new version doesn't have that problem.
I will setup a clan event to testdrive the map on our VIP server, regulars like chuck N are welcome as well.
PS: I don't think we should run this map on the public server just yet. Tendo wanted us to test it properly first and i think the issue with the spawnfloors should be fixed first before we make it public and get comments and posts in the forum about it.
