That Panera Bread is a spy!!!
I was bored and decided to look up the nutritional info of Panera Bread, turns out their sandwiches are almost 1000 calories whole. damn, never eating there again. you'd think their grilled chipotle chicken sandwich would be low in calories, unfortunately its almost 900. same as a big mac
Don't wanna get fat likeVitalxcore a certain someone.

Re: That Panera Bread is a spy!!!
Why don't we ask the former sandwich store employee the scale of awesomeness of sandwiches (THAT'S ME)
Every non-enfranchised sandwich place is first, usually run by ethnic/foreign people. They always have fresher bread, bigger servings, better prices, and better service.
Quiznos is second, because they use decent ingredients, they have a standard that makes them pack a lot of veggies on, and their toasters are fucking kickass.
Mr. Sub (Canadian only) is third. Fresh ingredients and more wholesome bread than subway, but they make their sandwiches like functional retards and their array of vegetables isn't as numerous (though it seems like actual fresh chopped veggies).
Subway is last. Being a former subway employee myself, let me tell you why. Zero standards, piss poor bread, not fresh ingredients by comparison, smaller portion sizes, higher prices, everything. Nothing is good about subway. If you aren't getting it for free, go somewhere else and save your money. If you do have to get it, specifically request swiss/whatever specialty cheese they have at your location (it's free), and get extra of all the vegetables (free still).

Re: That Panera Bread is a spy!!!
Hate to bring it to you Greezy, but Subway over here in the Netherlands is the opposite from what you just said, expect for the ones in Amsterdam that is. I usually go to the one in Central Nijmegen and let me tell you it is great. The personnel is friendly, bread is baked fresh, all the veggies taste fresh and when you compare prices it is cheaper than Bakker Bart which is the other place we can buy sandwiches.
Also, discounts because me and my friend have been going there every other week for the past year and the manager likes us. We stay for at least an hour or two and entertain the employees when the store is quiet

Re: That Panera Bread is a spy!!!
I never said the bread wasn't baked fresh. I said it was piss poor. If I stick a banana in the oven, it would be fresh baked too. Hate to inform you, but it isn't actually fresh, only by definition. It comes in frozen bread sticks that just expand with heat. I can't believe you get discounts though, people would get in shit for that here.

Re: That Panera Bread is a spy!!!
You need to go to Jimmy Johns if you visit the USA, Greezy. Fresh baked bread daily, it's fricken delicious, quality ingredients... it's $9.24 for a sandwich, chips and drink. (That's including Washington state bullshit 10 c a dollar tax) The subs are like 8-10" long but they're fucking delicious.

Re: That Panera Bread is a spy!!!
25% is really fucking high :O
In quebec we have two taxes, the first is 5% and the second is 7.5% added on the total (after the 5% one)
Was worst that that when I was young.

We have harmonized sales tax (HST) which is 13% here. Really not that terrible.

Re: That Panera Bread is a spy!!!
it's normal overhere that you eat your homemade breakfast/lunch (mostly slized bread with cheese) at home or at work or school , so you have all the time of the world to do social while eating with your friends, family or colleagues - no time lost , its abnormal or even considered stupid to bring your hard earned money to a breakfast/lunchshop like Subways to buy a seriously overprised footlong sub dripped with a sugarsweet sauce.. i did it once , and i never come back there anymore .. its just revolting-disgusting , i rather sponsor the warm bakery in my hometown thats in business since 1780
the local subway , looks great .. taste horrible

I'm pretty positive that's a worldwide phenomenon.

Re: That Panera Bread is a spy!!!
MCDonalds sucks to begin with. The only thing that actually tastes decent are the hamburgers (the ones from a Happy Meal) and the milkshakes. Same applies to Burger King. Also, I can't stand KFC, more crisp than chicken and the little amount of chicken there is is dry as fuck. No if you want decent fastfood I would say do it yourself or go to the cafetaria at station Oss West which is okay.
tl;dr: fastfood sucks.

Re: That Panera Bread is a spy!!!
I freaking love the strawberry milkshakes at mcdonalds, even though they taste nothing like homemade and are probably disgusting if I looked at how they were made.
