Re: Desktop photoz
the icons are tiny, i have a tiny screen.
in all honesty, i just don't use my desktop anymore. i access all my games through steam, and i have so many little applications i use for various things i just type the name in the search bar and it starts. i haven't even looked at my desktop in over 3 months

My idling shortcut is labeled "Team Fauxtress 2". :3ninji wrote:It contains all my programs and batch files for idling in Team Fortress 2. I just click one thing, and I am in a server idling in 30 seconds and I can still do other things on my computer.Hoboapple wrote:idle fortress 2?

It is my favorite car. Gotta love a 440 magnum. Or I suppose it's supposed to be the 426 hemi in the movie. Either way, kickass car, kickass engine, kickass movie.

Re: Desktop photoz
Well we all know how fond I am at customizing everything I use; custom skins, cool effects so here is my desktop:
https://s582.photobucket.com/albums/ss267/sgtpepper17/?action=view¤t=desktopscreenie.png
What, suprised? Allow me to explain; when I am using my PC I hardly see my desktop because I always have windows open in fullscreen so I don't see the logic behind all the desktop eyecandy. As for opening programs I have learned some simple tricks: winkey + [number] opens a program pinned on the taskbar (in my case: 1 winamp, 2 firefox, 3 explorer), winkey+r opens the run window which I use for office, system tools etc and finally there is the search indexer in win7 which is perfect to find that one program you hardly ever use. Just open the startmenu and type what you need, do that all the time. In fact I never use the 'All Programs' thing in the start menu xD
I did used to have a lot of eyecandy, rainmeter, objectdock and custom windows skins but when I witched to win7 I just didn't felt the urge anymore. Besides like I said, when you only see your desktop when you boot the PC there is no need for eyecandy :p

I know it was originally an awesome TV show, however that picture is from the movie.

Re: Desktop photoz
Whoops, I forgot to share you guys my HTC which basically is my second laptop I got rid of the default HTC TouchFlo yesterday because I felt like doing some customization so I installed SPB Shell which allows me to do everything myself. Writing apps however is hard because this program is closed source and does not come with an SDK -.-
(Screenshots made with MyMobiler; windows program that shows and allows you to your phone screen from your PC)
Home screen:
1) Phone settings
2) Internet stuff
3) Main home/today screen
4) Media players (need to find a non Windows Media Player widget for it).
5) Programs I often use including TomTom, Paint, games and a flashlight.
Other cool stuff:
1) Nitrogen, my main music player. Extremely finger friendly =D
2) World clock: Oss, Netherlands; New York, USA and Paramaribo, Suriname. Last one because a deer friend of mine lives there.
Number 3 is my main home/today page, however when I drag the screen to the left or right I can change to one of those.
3) Current local weather and forecast; gotta love GPS n.n
4) Favorite contacts, hardly use this screen because I pressing the call button and typing the first few letters of the person is a lot faster.
5) Program Browser, only useable for looking up the programs I hardly ever use

This is my desktop, the background image is a slightly modified piece of concept art for Guild Wars 2.
