cars...
it's about the time i need to get a car. i might have an internship coming up soon, and i need a way to get home for the holidays that doesn't involve a $300 plane ticket.
i have a small budget, my problem is that most cars that fit within that budget are waayyyy to small. i'm a tall guy (6' 5", about 2 meters, and still growing) and almost all legs. i need a car that i can fit in, and those are almost all luxury cars. most of the cars i am looking at that are recently priced are hardly ever found in used car lots.
my very few requirements are these:
any ideas?

my very few requirements are these:

Re: cars...
Well my uncle managed to comfortable drive a volkswagen golf (now my car) for 6 years. And he's 6'6". So perhaps a smaller car could be workable. Just a suggestion.
I think you should look around craigslist in your area and see what you can find. I'm not sure if you'll find those cars for very cheap.

Any Volvo will fit you. Cheap 2nd hand and drive easy up to a million miles and lots of legroom

Re: cars...
1.85m tall and a total bitch about confort and I know from experience that German/West-European cars offer more space for your legs. Why? Because the germans (and Dutch) we are taller. Like FUBAR said, Volvo is a nice choice. They are save and 'glide' over the road insead off drive on it (no bumps, whoohoo).
Also do NOT get a Suzuki Alto like my sis, I have to keep my head low otherwise I bump it against the roof -.-

Re: cars...
I'm 1,94 m myself and never had problems with normal cars, you really don't need a luxury car iMHO.
I'm driving a Toyota right now and no problems with it. Also take into account the fuel consumption on a big car.

Re: cars...
Lol, get a moped. They're cheap and they get ~100 miles per gallon.
Not terribly fast, though, so you can't use 'em on the highway.

Just don't get an 05-06 one I believe. Those ones have serious transmission issues and they have a 60,000 mile powertrain warranty.

I'm 6'2 and I feel your pain adam. I have trouble driving a Toyota highlander and that's supposed to a big car. The Acura is even worse.

yeah, but they're about $5,000 over my ideal budget. i think what i need to do is go to a used car lot and bug the hale out of a salesman as long as i can before he realizes i'm not buying a car until a few months later.
