TF2 Cosplay! Or whatever...
Hey, it's Firestar, this time with a Team Fortress 2 Cosplay thread! (COStume rolePLAY, not really role play tho, just the costume part, cosplay generally means a really good/detailed costume)
Some people wanted me to post my scattergun, so I thought I'd just start a thread for everyone to post their costumes/weapons.
So, I made most of my costume less than a week from Holloween, so it's not perfect.
BTW I think it was Eraserhead who suggested it, but I think it would actually be pretty awesome if we all went to a convention dressed as our favorite TF2 characters. ^

The Scattergun, as you can see, is a bit dusty |. We slapped it together just in time for Holloween, and it looked good enough in the dark. If we actually do something (look up |) I can touch it up, so no prob there. So this is it, nothing special, but I think it turned out well.
This is the Aluminum Bat. It turned out, I would say, perfectly. It was extremely easy, so I'm not really bragging.
First person FTW~
I might Photoshop it, just so it looks cool

Yeah, any ideas on how I could do that with a plastic bat? I have plenty of spray paint, so scratching that isn't a problem.

A dent in a plasic bat? If you dont mind the smell, you could try to melt a dent into it. heat it over some fire, and push down with a wet rag.

Nice! Altough I won't put so much effort in making a weapon or anything (not that talented in crafting).
I was thinking about going as a spy to carnaval (Duth carnaval = alcohol, muzic, alcohol, music ad inventum) but then it came to me, I wear glasses xD
Perhaps I could wear a mask in front of my glasses, otherwise I'll just go as V from V for Vendetta... with glasses xD

Options IMO:
A. Get contacts
B. Put normal eyeholes in the mask, then tape it to your glasses.
C. Get contacts

I used to wear contacts in 2008 but my eyees didn;t really liked them. Tried them for 4 months, soft contacts and my eyes kept getting red and dry.
Might buy contacts for one day if I remember my strenght... contacts and glasses have differant testresults.
also, I'm not gonna tao anything to my current glasses they cost me a bloody €160 ($230) of my own jewgold, erm, money. Might do it with my old glasses though.
Re: TF2 Cosplay! Or whatever...
I think Tendo was wondering what I used for the scattergun...
Well, let's see if I can remember...
We went to goodwill, so lots of the stuff is totally random, and makes it sound like we're poor. Well, my dad is.
So, the barrels were PVC pipes. The round part in the middle was a plastic jewelry box. The handle was an old joystick. anything else is made of wood. Oh, of course, spray paint. There were various sanders, drills, and other manly tools that were used as well., but not incorporated into the gun(DUH).
The bat was just a plastic bat that was the perfect size, and spray paint.
On a kind of strange side-note, I just remembered that I modified and spray-painted a Nerf Maverick. It turned out to look a lot like the Ambassador...
