Mods in the sever Empty Mods in the sever

Post by Furgus 16/1/2010, 14:34

I was thinking we could add a few mods in the server. There is this mod : which dispensers heal sentries.

The sentry only heals and regenerates ammo. It cant take sappers out. lol

this wouldn't cahnge the map but only the game play. It would be fun. Also there is this new rtd where they added newt hings like homing rockets ect.

What do you think?

The rtd sounds fine... but anything people have to download may take off the appeal. As for it aiding the sentry... maybe just give it ammo if we can?
My definition of a good engie is: Building and Caring for his gear. If he leaves, that's it fault for what happens to his stuff.

Well i played with that mod and I liked it. It made it harder for people to destroy a sentry alone. Which forced team work to destroy the sentry. And it makes the player more experienced.

Mods are always fun, but tendo is right. The average person will be like "screw this i don't wanna wait or sumthing" And go to another sevrer

I also enjoy teamwork, but if you've got two engies up there, fully build, with dispenser healing the sentry, and the engies whacking away... good luck

Yeah I hate RTD mods and no offense the Engie is already broken we don't need his dispenser healing the sentries

Dispensers healing sentry's... Don't like the idea. Besides, who is stupid enough to build all it's stuff close to eachother?
One demoman is enough to destroy everything, especially on orange_x3.

As for the RTD mod, I like it during normal play because it gives you some variation in gameplay. However, there are rolls that really spoil it for you like no-clip or godmode. Luckely enough we can turn off certain rolls so that won't be a problem. I do think however that we should have RTD turned off during scrims and pugs.

Godmode is pretty rare. I think that godmode is uncommon enough to just mix things up instead of be gamebreaking. It's like an Über, only more unexpected (and probably less effective, since you can't choose who gets it or when).

But yeah, noclip is obnoxious and gamebreaking (especially if an Engi gets it).

I'm a big fan of invisibility, though. There's a version of RTD that gives you permanent invisibility... but only as long as you're crouching.
