Disable meleevote?

Also could you put up a poll about disabling the "votemelee" command. It's nearly always being spammed in the server. Some people say yes, while the others say no. Its really annoying when you are getting a very good game going then somebody types VOTEMELEE. Then the game starts to get bad, and you get really annoyed about it.

I agree that i have seen a lot of people leave when melee starts. I also think admins should give the good example. So Firestar, this means you should not initiate another meleevote within 15 minutes just after we did melee. It's irritating.

We could also change the vote to be able to only run in once in 4 hours? Or maybe that it needs more votes to turn it on.
We could also give the map a timelimit and implement sudden death melee. But that is a major change....

More votes to turn it on, honestly melee mode is lots of fun, just not all the time.

I've had another thought Eraser. Leave melee mode but, just like what Dr Manette said on the sniper voting poll, only put it so the admins can have it, that way people wont be able to spam and also, you dont need to leave about it.

I don't know what you mean by let the admin have it, that was my comment on Manette's post on the other topic.

If i am an admin level 1-2-3, I type in votemelee, The pop-up appears.

I wasn't spamming it first off, and I've recently noticed that it takes an assload of time for it to be available again. I think four hours is way too long, say you're on for three and you really wanna do melee, everyone else does too, but no.

That's bullshit! If anything, definitely let non-admins do it so they don't have another thing to complain about... OMG TURN MELEE MODE OFF OMG

Is it possible to have a vote to turn off votemelee available to everyone, and the vote to turn it on is admin-only?

unfortunately votemelee is in itself 1 vote. It is designed to run a command that toggles the state of meleemode. i.e. if it's on turn it off, if it's off turn it on. Please keep this in mind when you decide on how many votes we want to turn it on because it will take the same amount to turn it off. On or off is the same vote.

Only solution for this then is to make two different votes:
