What;s this radio thing?

Every now and then people talk about having a radio on their server. I am kinda curious what this is. Is it just a selection songs that play or is is it a complete external radio station?

I've played on servers with it. It's kinda neat. It gives you the option to play a bunch of different genres of music. I believe it's just links to external radio stations but they play while you play. I would play jazz while blowing people up. It was fun.

I liked it a lot. It discourages micspam, but still lets people listen to music that they want to.

Yes i've tried this too. But of course you have to consider that this can cause lag as well since it is extra traffic. We can test it out on the private server.

We already have the webshortcuts plugin active.

edit: I just installed it! On the private server it should work by typing radiostart or radiostop in chat.

Awesome, I've only seen it in HL2DM really, and it was great there.

Okay then, lets see if I can set up a custom station as a test...

We are going to make another change to the radio so if you run into an issue before we do so just hang tight.

77.166.52.212:8000 and press listen, open th epls file with winamp, itunes or whatever and you can tune in to what I am playing n.n

Now what could I do with this except for messing around with 2 listeners....
