We uploaded this map yesterday evening and people like it but they all voted we put this one on at christmas eve and not right now. It's also pretty big (15MB) so takes a long time to download and keeps people from joining.

I'm so lucky for living in the Netherlands. We are the number three of the world whehen it comes to highest internetspeeds Very Happy
Our avarage is at 10Mb/s. Too bad that I live in a small town that doesn't have glasfiber Sad
By the way, you can just download the map and drop it in the maps folder from TF2:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\Your Steam-ID\team fortress 2\tf\maps

That way you don't have to download it from the server so you can play without having to wait. This is very usefull for those with a lousy internetconnection (Eraserhead Razz).

Pic kinda related (not really), my connection on wifi n.n

I think i'm the only one with a prehistoric internet connection in our clan here...

Although its not a matter of bandwith in this case. The bottleneck is the bandwith of the server. The gameserver is not made for downloading so thats why even if you have superspeed bandwith it will still come in slow. Clans we have custom map servers usually redirect to a special download server where the maps are stored and downloaded from as soon as you connect to the server.
