Inactivity issues [edited]

Due to a few of our members going MIA for quite some time and some not returning we've decided to create a new policy regarding inactivity:

If a player is inactive for 1 consecutive month without giving us a heads up they will receive a friendly reminder to show themself on our servers and forum. If after a week they still do not respond or do not have a valid reason for not showing their membership will be forfeited.

Don't you think 2 months is a bit on the long side? One month just makes more sense to me.

Someone could be on a holiday for a month or something else could happen so we started with a safe margin, we can always make it stricter.

Well sorry but if someone goes on a holiday/vacation for a month without telling us then I believe they shouldn't be in the clan to begin with. Only shows us how much they care about the clan; nothing.

What a about a hospital admittance?

What about a death? He will need more than 2 month to respawn again and grow to the age of 16 to be in the clan again.

Earthquake?
Tornado?
Hydrogen bomb?
Apocalypse?

Admittion in a hospital for over a month without any internet sounds like the only realistic reason for a person to be inactive for such a long time, the odds of it actually happening however is very small.

If any of these happened, we'd no doubt hear about them, where they happened, and assume the worst anyways.

What do you mean by "inactivity"? Do you mean inactivity on the forums, on the server, in miscellaneous events, or some combination thereof?

A combination of forum and servers. As long as your presence is known and we are aware that you still want to be a part of Pulp. There have been a few members that fell off the face of the earth. We are trying to prevent this.

Well they have to register for each pug, so if they don't register then we know.

I think that we can conclude from this discussion that 2 months is too long and we can change it to 1 month + 1 week warning. Everyone agreed?

After you become a member please stay active in the forums. If we notice you haven't visited the forum in one month you will get a reminder and if you don't respond in a week we will have to kick you as a member.

Yes.

I'll be AFK for a couple of weeks because of personal family issues and it won't really be possible for me to be online. But once I get back, I should have my new computer by then. So until then, have fun without me. You'll see me back before you know it.
