Slanderous LIES

I never thought I'd be more unhappy with an update than I was with the Cheater's Lament, but Valve proved me wrong. The Veteran Medals show the exact date that you picked up TF2... but mine isn't accurate. I explained it earlier today on a different forum, so I'll just quote myself:

The reason we got the Orange Box on his account instead of mine was because he'd get more playtime out of the other four games than I would (which wasn't very much).


Is it worth asking if we can trade Steam accounts at some point? He wouldn't lose very much, and this'd drive me crazy forever if I did anything less. Even if I simply don't wear the thing, it'll sit in my backpack and continue to lie to anyone who cares to look.

I need Veterans Medal! I'm a worthy Soldier! Infact, I love playing that class! Its my best class, as some of you know. If you die as Soldier, do you get it, like the first time you die in a game?

First time you die as any class you get the medal, and you can have it equipped on any class.

Nice try but no, besides who gives a shit about how long you have been playing TF2. You can play it for a week and be an ace player while you could have also been playing it for years and still suck.

Essentially what happened here was that content was denied from players simply because they didn't pre-order a game two years ago. It just pisses me off that we did pre-order it, but only my brother got credited for it when he never actually plays. It's retarded that I would have been less unhappy if I'd never bought a goddamn copy of my own.

I raged hardcore about the medals for about a week and then got over it, before the platinum medal came out and p​i​s​s​e​d me off again. I figure the same thing will happen. If I don't get over it, I'll ask him about swapping.
