IM VAC BAN FOR NO REASON!

I wasnt hacking.
I wasnt doing anything wrong.

I was playing as a normal player.
I play Fair.

So why was i VAC ban?

Are you being serious? No idea why you were VAC BANNED, unless you were hacking, or you downloaded something that the vac system deemed was illegal. What did you download for tf2? Double check if any of those stuff you downloaded may have been illegal or gave you some sort of advantage.

Valve does all the VAC stuff theirselves and their site states they never lift a VAC ban.
It might have been a mistake so you could try contacting them (even though their site says they won't lift the ban) or they might unban you overnight because it was a flaw in the VAC-software.
I don't know. A Google tells me that once you got VAC banned, you're screwed for life. Sometimes a VAC ban starts weeks after the cheating occured.

One small point of advise for everyone: keep your computer clean!
Make sure you have a good antivirus (like NOD, Avast, Norton) that's active, have it scan your PC every now and then (or all the time, live, like I do). Use a webbrowser that comes with some kind of protection (Firefox) and that can block suspisius javascript.
Frequently check your PC for spyware and malware with a program such as MalwareBytes and most importantly,
NEVER install things you don't trust!

Did you maybe use skins? I never heard of this problem before.

I would definitely open a trouble ticket at steampowered.com and ask them to help you out.

Man, I really hate Valve for all this VAC crap.
First off, say you buy the Valve complete pack, and maybe the Prince of Persia Pack, maybe some other stuff. Say you've spent about 150-200 bucks, that went straight to them.

Firestar. Your bro should know better and you need to explain to him not to download any type of these things. But if you think about it. would you want a hacker messing up your game and other peoples games? or do you want them banned so they can stop cheating.

Here's an advice for you firestar, Winkey + L will lock your computer untill the active user enters his/hers password. It might sound a bit too much Tin Foil Hat (conspiracy!) but that way you will be sure noone except for you will be on your PC.

Miht, we all know how kids are. They don;t know that what they do is bad and that they shouldn't instal screenmates and searchbars. They don't know that clicking on every 'Feed banana to monkey' banner is bad for a pc. I hate kids -.-

Anyway, I do think that a person who get's VAC banned should at least be told what he did wrong so he can do something about it. There are a lot of people who don't know how to keep their computer clean and save or even have ever heard of things such as Malware.

I always check the site-domain, never do things like 'insert e-mail, get free munnies' and those kinds of crap. When it comes to personal records I'm always slightly paronoid except for my phonenumber which has spread from my friends to their friends their friends and their friends (whomn I hardly know).

Be very suspicious if you get a chat from someone who you don't know and sends you a page to log into. That's how they get you.

There are a lot of shortcuts and forgotten features on windows. Some of them go way back to win3.11!

Double-click on the titlebar of a window: maximize/minimize a window.
Winkey+R: Run.
Winkey+tab or alt+tab: switch bitween active programs.
Winkey+D: Minimize everything to the taskbar.
Winkey+F: Windows search
Winkey+U: Open the screen with options for those with bad eyes, bad ears etc.
Winkey+P: choose which external viewer (projecter, hdmi, vga etc) is active and or if ou want to duplicate your screen or just one active etc etc.
Winkey+1: opens up the first program in your quick start (programs left in the taskbar). Press 2 for the second program, three for the third etc etc.

I always use the winkey+number shortcut, instead of clicking on a small icon I doucle click on the title-bar and I connect to external screens every weekend so winkey+p really is helpfull (no need for nvidia configuration screen). It's so much faster!
