My band, Som Onda
So we played our second show last night, and they recorded the audio. It's professional quality, and it's on our myspace page.

All of the songs except Thanks for Sharing are from last night. I'm the drummer in this band. It's mostly alternative stuff, more originals than covers.
I'd appreciate any feedback you guys have.

No idea, I joined after it was named. The way this worked out was during last summer the band was formed. The bassist, guitarist, and rhythm guitarist went to the same school. The lead guitarist knew me from an out of school jazz program, and chose me as the drummer in December, and there was a name already. I believe it means Sound Wave in Portuguese, but I'm not sure.

Google Translator to the rescue!
Swedish > English
Som Onda > As evil
Portuguese > English
Som Onda > Sound Wave
Lawl well now we know that there is a Portuguese speaking person in the group ftw.

The couple of songs I listened to had simple tunes, and I was pleasantly surprised how well most of the rhymes flowed.

You know, this thread was about the music we play, not about our name...

Actually Hyce, you titled it "My Band, Sam Onda." This makes it about everything your band encompasses. Plus, you posted a myspace link, which leads to the possibility of us talking about the profile we're clicking on, aka your band.

I'm the creator of this thread, therefore I make da rules, foo!
Anyways.... Shove it about the name, I want to hear people whether or not you like the music.
If a man were to walk up to you and ask "Do you like Som Onda?" "Nah their name sucks" doesn't mean crap about a band.
