The New Perks
Well I was just on the server and saw 3 snipers[*COUGH*ADAM GREZY AND HAVIK*COUGH*] on blu and 1 on red. I think it makes the game really unfair for 1 sniper to try to countersnipe all 3 of them. It made my KD go down , not even a 1KD -_-
Jus mad that we had a not so good sniper and being BODYSHOTTED all the time by the three snipers.

I hate snipers. If it were up to me, we wouldn't have any snipers on the map. Whoever complains about it, then I would just laugh... But....

Re: The New Perks

Re: The New Perks
Well, I was sniping because I had lag problems. Adam and Greezy were just making the moment even more lol worthy. It was funny, but yes, it can make the game un-balanced at times.
Re: The New Perks
It's been changed now so a donator can change to a class that is limited but still counts towards that limit so once a non donator dies they get switched.

Yeah, that was a little ridiculous. Anything for an edge with some people.

Re: The New Perks
i have to say it was a pleasant surprise, i donated before i knew about this whole immunity thing. i could see how, when exploited, it would make some people angry though.

Yeah I really do feel bad switching to full classes, because it kicks someone off now. I think the prior way was better personally, not really a big problem anyways.

Oi. I changed it back so it won't count the donator towards the limit. So now it won't boot the other person off the class.

Re: The New Perks
Greezy and Adam i can understand you wanted to try out your new perks and both went sniper because that is the most limited class. I would have done the same. I guess it was fun to be on your team hehe.
But in the future try not to make the game too unbalanced please otherwise it will result in these kind of flamethrower posts.
And Chuck, yes it's a bit unfair. But that's why we call it a perk. Someone who donates has to be rewarded. And i think the donators group will always be a minority as opposed to the non-donators. At least we don't make it completely overpowered like on other servers by giving donators 300HP, 6rockets, unlimited ammo and extra speed.

Re: The New Perks
Oh man, those huge premium account buffs were awesome. Don't forget Eraser, extra jumps with the scout, no fall damage, huge explosive jumps, unlimited metal, regenerating health.

Re: The New Perks
Even as a non premium account for engie, the buff on it just seems fair for the class, I hate spending 2 mins to upgrade one thing where as to only expect it to die within 2 seconds (off topic)

Re: The New Perks
Semi on-topic: I am glad we dont use game-altering perks. It makes no sense at all why players who donate should have advantages over players who dont; 'Skill doesn't matter, I have regenerating health and unlimited ammo'. Sure they can be fun but most of the times they annoy non-donaters and scare them away. I play on various servers including the EU Nightteam servers. They have very unfair perks like low grav, unlimited ammo, 2x scout speed and unlimited buildings as an engie. Today there was this douche who kept building all kinds of stuff making everyone lag to a point that we could hardly play at all. Really usefull to have a TF2 server on which you cant play...
tl;dr: if you need game altering perks to succeed in this this game then you should just stop playing TF2 all together.

Re: The New Perks
it might be fun to have an "excessive mode" vote, where those kind of things were turned on for everyone for 2 minutes or something.

Re: The New Perks
I think there are better ways to provide perks to players that don't effect team composition. I understand the need and draw of having perks to make money for the server, I'd like to see the server hang around for a while.
However, this is gonna reignite the team balance and stacking debate. We've been over this before with Pulp stacking, and it's evened out, but the majority of donors will be Pulp. When you and your clanmates want to play on the same team it can run the risk of having one team limited to the set rules while half of the other team can go outside of them. This may happen more often than expected due team balance immunity as well.
To be clear, these are possibilities and I have nothing solid to say on the subject.

Re: The New Perks
The immunity is from autobalancing. If the teams are stacked it will still force a teamscramble.
