Pulp Points

Do they really serve any purpose at all or are they "just there?"

Just there, we might use them for donation points in the future

No purpose. It's a forum feature to reward people with things like:

-The time you have been a registered forum user
-The amount of friends you have (no one uses this, we are all friends lol)
-The amount of messages from others you have on your profile
-The amounts of topics you created
-The amount of messages you made

Different amount of points can be set for all these events. It can even be specified you get like 2 points for a message in the support forum and 1 point for a message in the screenshots forum for instance. And 10 points for a new topic in the introductions forum. We could also work with 50, 100, 10.000, 458 points w/e we want.

So nice that you brought this up, do we want to make a system out of this?

This seems kinda silly to make a system out of. We don't need to turn the forums into a competition for points.

Yea i can also remove it completely. Unless someone has a great idea for using the points system. There is also a reputation system which also works with points. It also adds thanks buttons to topics.

Donation amount = pulp points = stars

Stars = Awesomeness = Fame = Girls!

So basically, donate to pulp and become popular amongst sexy girls!

You forgot Profit!, put Profit! in there somewhere.

Well, you could do contests or events where the rewards are pulp points, and you can use pulp points in the future for say buying a hat? buying PULP items such as mugs, t-shirts, etc.
