Website is down
Apparently we have exceeded a bandwith limit. The hosting of our website is currently with gameservers and it's free. I didn't know we had a limit. I have to wait for a response now as to what the limit is (can't believe we exeeded it) and what the cheapest plan is.
Re: Website is down
Since some of the forum images are hosted on the site's server this means that the forumcan be missing images. If this is the case press the "View posts since last visit"-text on the main page, right above the first forum. For those who still see the full version, do not empty your browsers cache!
Eraser, I have uploaded the motd folder to my own webhost which still has 59GB bandwidth left for this month. Feel free to use it for the in-game motd's and info text's. These are the urls:

K I edited to point to you for now in a way that we can change it back quickly. Thanks for this Pepper. Hopefully they have an answer for us in the morning.

Re: Website is down
There are a few little things we can do to help out our bandwidth. Like our forum host now allows us to upload our icon images and our logo to their side. Also I am not sure if you already did this pepper but we could try to trim down on the size of the images for our hats gallery.
Perhaps the bandwidth issue caused a problem with our mysql databases causing the lag spikes? Because they continued long into the night. Taboo msged me after midnight that it happened again. In the past we have had lag spikes but nothing nearly as frequently as yesterday.

Re: Website is down
Since the site appears to be up again I have switched the shortcuts back to the main website which will take place upon reboot.

Re: Website is down
-The site logo is the biggest file uploaded to the server since it is a big 32-bit PNG. I will change this to a smaller one later tonight.
-Some forum images are uploaded to the main site, I will upload these to the forum if it is possible to do so.
-The hat gallery uses jpg files saved at 75% quality in paint.net. From what I recall they aren't any bigger than 80kb each.
-MySQL can cause massive CPU loads, I used to be active on a wiki and they had massive problems with the database. Not even MediaWiki could solve this...
-I will keep the MOTD uploaded to my site just in case this happens again. Don't worry about the bandwitdh, I only use the site to mess around on and I never get above 500mb from the 60gb bandwitdh it has.

Re: Website is down
Cool thanks. Well let's see how they responded to Eraser's ticket about our bandwidth limit. Although since Netherlands won I am not sure how soon we can expect to see Eraser.

Re: Website is down
lol google.
Well i got a reply from our webhost and they decided to give us a free upgrade to the next clansite level because we already host 3 gameservers with them. The new plan is 500MB diskspace and 15000MB transfer.
Ranking lag spikes? How were they measured? Taboo also had problems with downloading the custom hats. It might be his connection. But if the rankings database does create lag we might have to purge players who haven't dropped by in a long time.
PS: I didn't bother to read my e-mail and the forums yesterday since i got drunk again after The Netherlands won with 2-1. Next friday against Brazil will be extra tense because in Suriname most people support Brazil which is our big neighbor and also some Brazilians live here (goldmines).
PS2: I see in firefox the forum still has a green icon on my tabs instead of the PULP icon.

Re: Website is down
The issue with the rankings system was due to the server time being off by 12 hours. When you get a chance to read your emails I emailed you about it. Problem should be resolved by now.

Re: Website is down
Aw good to know we got upgraded, also good to know that I have more bandwidth (lol). Might as well host some files on it int he near future...
Eraser, try refreshing with F5 or empty your cache, I've got the Pulp icon right here. Also, can't wait until Friday, I've got a feeling it will be a great match with a penalty shoot out.
