Skins in the server
There have been problems with skins in the server and it's kinda getting aggravating. Skins are not working but some are. I don't know if we changed anything but can we please change it back because I'm not use to seeing the old weapons.
Plz can we find a way to fix this.

Re: Skins in the server
I never changed sv_pure. It currently is set to 1.
As you can read here you have to be careful with it to prevent hacking: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Pure_Servers
Here is a screenshot of the current whitelist of our server:

// 3 modifiers are allowed on file specifications:
//
// from_steam - only check the Steam cache for the file (ignore anything on disk)

Re: Skins in the server
My skins stopped working after I changed the maps in hope of reconnecting the server to steam (FUBAR told me that might help). Perhaps that has to do with it?
Re: Skins in the server
idk, but it's really hard for me to play without my skins now...

Re: Skins in the server
I really don't know why this is happening. I have had a ticket at gameservers that i re-opened 3 times now. This is their response of today which is ridiculous:
I'm afraid the only thing we could suggest at this point would be moving to a different machine. The master server communication is not something that has any configurable settings, and isn't really something we can make changes to in order to get it working again.

So i have asked Panda from IKtR for help and opened a ticket with Steam support. Lets see what they say.

No I was just a little rough if you know what I mean. She kinda gets really tired after that So I let her put her head on my lap or my shoulder and she falls asleep. It doesn't help that she was up at the crack of dawn before she fell asleep when she came here.

Re: Skins in the server
I love this macho talk !
Did you check to see if you skins work right now on other servers?
How about your unlocked weapons, do they work?

Re: Skins in the server
Here the response i got from the other Panda:
Personally, I would save the configs and important files and would reinstall the server. if you're not up to that; as I would assume, I can suggest running the server passworded, and restart it; checking the logs for the version numbers, etc. From previous experience, I can tell you, that usually when there is a large update, if the server has not updated; clients will not be able to connect. if it's just a skins issue, that Means that the steam cloud hasn't actually recognized your server. this could take a while; usually one to three weeks after an update; but it usually Gets resolved. If you're very anxious, you can send in a complaint to valve, as they should be able to do more about it.

Re: Skins in the server
And this is the response i got from Valve, just great:
Hello Dennis, I have reviewed your ticket history and due to an error in ticket processing your two individual tickets were merged together. As a result, I will be providing you with information on both of these requests. Your first ticket, concerning performance running Team Fortress 2 on a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop with a Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset, cannot be resolved by Steam Support. As you indicated in your first message, this is not a "gaming" video adapter and is not supported for running this game. While games like TF2 may run on the laptop, there performance is not guaranteed and Steam Support cannot provide further information concerning this issue. Please note that system requirements are listed on the Store page of every game. Your second ticket, concerning issues with a dedicated server following the WAR update cannot be resolved by Steam Support. We do not offer support for server issues. You may, however, be able to find helpful information in the Dedicated Server forums: Dedicated Server Discussions http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=509 Additionally, you may sign up for the Valve mailing lists for future announcements regarding server updates: Title: Valve Mailing Lists Link: http://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9427-OPFH-2819 If you have any further questions, please let us know - we will be happy to assist you.

Re: Skins in the server
Dude that is so full of shit cause it's there game and they should hold the product so that the consumers are satisfied if more problems ignite in the server involving the skins I will have to find a way to make them work completely over all and I will if I need 2.
I would liek to thank you Eraser for getting the information that I requested and trying to resolve my problem.

Re: Skins in the server
Well this problem needs to be solved so just keep posting in this topic as long as you notice it happening. Reinstalling is an option but that will take some time and has some risks.
Re: Skins in the server
Erm, I don't have any problem with my skins on our (or any) server. Might just be me though...
Re: Skins in the server
I haven't had a problem in a few days so I think we're safe for now I'll check when I get home.
