Sniping is easy on Orange_x3

Gibbo and I are tired of having all these snipers bash on us because they killed us regardless of body shot or head shot from point 2. So I was wondering why not implement a plugin for body shooting to become misses instead of kill shots. Where only head shots are registered and everything else is ignored.

I believe Gibbo would approve this and I would approve it too which would make sniping less of an option for noob snipers to play because they can't Head shot, they have no skills in accomplishing it.

I actually agree with this. Also I was on the server the other day with 4/24. and when it got enough filled up to have snipers. A lot of people left because I was sniping them. So if this was put into effect. It would be more challenging to snipe. Causing less players to leave the server.

So I was wondering why not implement a plugin for facestab to become misses instead of kill shots. Where only backstab are registered and everything else is ignored.

I believe +Moo would approve this and I would approve it too which would make spying less of an option for noob spies to play because they can't backstab, they have no skills in accomplishing it.

Jameless actually found a plugin that can do this and we will test it soon.

hahaha I think this would ONLY work for snipers. Since snipers are hated a lot. And I would put this only in the orange server.

The Orange map is a very easy map to snipe on, there shouldn't be a single excuse to body shoot players when they're a mile away from you.

It may seem like a bad plugin, but it also weeds out the bad snipers from taking sniping spot and the good snipers who actually makes a change for the team and not become an annoyance for the team causing a votekick to pop up.

On other maps where it has tight corners and not a big enough open space for snipers to head shot easily, they could body shoot because its nearly impossible to do snap head shots in 10 times in a row. That'll only happen when snipers are hacking and aim botting like Dr. Acula was when I played against him and reported him for it.

sounds good for snippers, but realistically, if you get stabbed in the face, that would still kill you.

The map was made like this. People are still playing. We changed the limit of snipers. Why do you need to nerf it down again...People love snipers, don't ruin it forever.

Nah I like snipers but I just see a lot of people complain about snipers on the server.

Also I disagree on this one, this affects the gameplay too much basically giving snipers a semi-godmode. Instead why not make it so that snipers may only stand still for X seconds and have to walk X meters to reset the timer. That way they simply can't camp CP2. also, just dominate CP2 snipers. I am not the best sniper around but if there is one thing I dislike it is a CP2 sniper. Dominating them (as a sniper or scout) is way more fun, especially when you tell them to get off CP2 after each kill.

I disagree with that. That would change the snipers gameplay to much.

Provided the plugin works we could even trim down the amount of damage a body shot does as opposed to eliminating body shots altogether. We could also limit the huntsman or ambassador but I am not sure those 2 would be necessary. I will be testing the plugin in the next few days. After that we can then debate what we want to affect (if anything) and by how much.

What I think would be cool is if we could halfen the damage of a full charged body shot.

But your talking about just trimming it down. I was thinking halfing every thing down, that has to do with bodyshots.

But where will you test the plugin. The Orange server or another server.

we have modified our orange x map to make the snipers come into the battle more like putting up wall on the 2nd points and other walls on common sniper hot spots...
