They'd probably require more votes than usual for anything (entry, scrim team, et cetera), would be prone to exclusion from events at the administration's discretion, and subject to any other restrictions the clan sees fit.

I think what Zurkov says is the best solution we've heard yet. Maybe after a while, if the member proved themselves mature, they could be treated like the older members? (This would be at any high level admin's discretion I guess)

I actually lost count here if we were talking about admin or member age limits....

Putting my vote in, I can understand why you'd put an age limit up, but I don't think it's fair to some of the younger members who are actually sane and mature. If we wind up putting on an age limit, I'm leaving.

Your only as sane as the soap you use.

Age limits have a 'silent' message that we're totally awesome, and i am. I agree on putting an age limit. Even though it may not be fair, we can still keep the young members we have, and just be more selective with new ones. Until we get biggggg, i say we get the limit. Really, some of our younger members are really good people, but its easier to compromise with elder people. That last line will probably give me hell, but thats the truth, generally. We're just trying to make it a more mature server and community. Younger gamers can be mature, but the mass populous of said younger gamers has a bad enigma. Its really just a maturity filter, is what i mean.

1.
a puzzling or inexplicable occurrence or situation: His disappearance is an enigma that has given rise to much speculation.
2.
a person of puzzling or contradictory character: To me he has always been an enigma, one minute completely insensitive, the next moved to tears.

I used it in the sense that they have a bad presence.

Why are you bringing this up anyway... It has nothing to do with it

I understand about how some younger members can have a bad enigma surrounding them, however not all of them are bad players, not all of them deserve to be shut out of advanced privileges to do so. Several of the junior admins are currently under 18, myself included. We shouldn't be shut out from that just because of that. If you lower it to 16, still some are excluded. Admins shouldn't be chosen by age, they shouldn't be chosen on how good they are in TF2, they should be chosen for maturity, respect, and self-control. Restricting age isn't fair, and I won't be in a clan that has it. I've known my CGMZ buddies for 4 years now, I've known you guys for about 6 months or so. CGMZ will be happy to know the #2 guy is back wearing the tag, rather than a PULP one. Age restrictions and other things will cause some members to leave, including myself.

Thing is I'm not sure if I am in favour or against an age limit. A person can be 16+ and still be some immature asswhipe that acts like a cinnamon girl. However, you can also be underaged and be as/more mature then the average 18 year old. The last however is more rare so how about...
-An agelimit of 14+
-People need to be:
--Mentally mature (enough).
--Capable of showing respect for other members.
--Capable of talking things over.
--Capable of being a nice person instead of a griefing n00b-shouting moron.

We really need a strict no tolerance of immaturity. I mean we can't have our members being assholes and starting trouble. When this happens, one strike and you're out.

Kids bring kids. Adults bring adults. What do we want... kids or adults... Thats how i see it.

Yes, some exceptions are here, but unless there is a solid (mature, respectful, etc) group of young gamers, they will most likely draw more kids. When i play Tf2, i dont want to hear bitching, spam and all that nonsense... i want to play, laugh and talk to some of my fans (like jamesless). Yes, it is a game... But it is a mature game. Not to say that i dont like the younger gamers we have, they are good for the most part. So if someone proves that they can be AS MATURE as an adult, i say let them in. Goofing around is ok... its a game, but they have to know their limits...

-I think we all agree that we want mature gamers.

I think we should have to pass judgment on who can use the mic as well. Dualgunna used to use the mic until his voice irritated us to no end, so we told him to stop. I didn't like him much when he was talking but when he just typed he's a good guy to play with. I'm not saying we should have an age limit, just a squeakiness limit. If you sound like a girl (provided you aren't one) then you should not be using the mic unless it's like an emergency thing (spy about to stab a medic, etc)

I do NOT want squeaky little kids on pulp, lol. Definately 14+ at the least, I'd say 16+ from now one but many members wouldn't agree. My response would be tough, but hey that's me.

I'd personally say 15+, but that's just because I'm 15 1/2. I can understand 16, but that just screws me over now don't it? I will leave if an age limit would be put up.

Good for you, but cruel as it may sound, I don't care. There isn't a single good reason of why you should leave if we would put up an age limit. Just threatening us with leaving doesn't do a single thing if you don't come up with some arguments first.

Good point Pepper. Look at Jonesie, he's 14 and hasn't got a squeaky voice. That's why i would say 14+ as age limit. Where new members who are younger then 16 will need some extra votes or something.

I'd say that we should have concrete age limit (like we've been saying all along, current members under it will NOT be booted out) otherwise we start picking and choosing and having a limit is pointless. It's either going to 14 (which considering everyone is 14+ here anyways seems unnecessary) or 16. Maybe should have a vote on it soon?

Have we decided that we don't want a 14 limit at all? I would put a poll for 14, 16, or none.

I think that would result in an even spread result. It's better to have a hard vote that says yes/no. Anyway everyone below that age will stay in the clan so it only regards new applicants.

Create this vote. I dont see why hyce is upset... its only the NEW applicants that will be judged on age, not the old ones...
