Orange Rotation Week

For people who missed it i will announce it again here.

Next week starting monday we will add three other maps to our default orange map which each will rotate for 90 minutes. The maps will be:

-Orange X3
-Orange X4 viper
-Orange X6
-Orange X3 work (Tendo's)
-Purple X

Jeeee! And the reason for me still having win7 even though Ubuntu is better? Steam and vidja james!

So, the whole of next week, we're going to be having a Orange map rotaion, namely these:
-Orange X3
-Orange X4 viper
-Orange X3 work (Tendo's)
-Orange X6
-Purple X

I hope it's a good map tendo. Somebody give me a link to it, so I can see it.

The map can be found on the private server. If you have some time i can show it to you.

Btw we added Orange_x6 to the rotation on request of katkong.

The rotation is now officially activated! So if you feel it's a good idea to have a rotation, make sure to keep the server as full as possible!

I liked the new maps and I must say that it was more fun playing on a rotation of multiple maps then just one crappy map (let's face it, orange_x3 isn't a really good one).

I wasn't on a ton, but I never saw it on _viper.

I ing love _viper.

Viper is amazing.
Orange 3 default sucks.
Tendo's map is pretty cool but has some pointless space.
I didn't get to play on the others.

I played on all of them.

Orange_x3 is a really fun map, but it's really unbalanced, viper and Tendo's maps both help to add some balance. Purple_x is pretty fun, but it really encourages sniping (even more than orange_x3 somehow.) Orange_x6 is just straight up retarded, but I enjoyed it anyways.

I don't think we can look to votes for everything. If you have even half a brain, you could tell that Viper a much more balanced, possibly more competitive alternative to Orange_X3. It keeps the same idea but adds alternate routes so you have the option of not getting your ass sniped off every time.

Having more maps like viper would help to thin out the immature portion of our server's population who just want to hump a wall and snipe all day without interference. (And yes, this is a relatively large group, I've seen them)

X6 is just jokes. Hilarity and fun always ensue on that map but in all seriousness, it's so stupid.

I loved viper, purple_x, tendo's map, and orange_x_6. These are a must keep.

I liked all of the maps only Tendo's, x6 and purple are a bit large if you look at the amount of players we have on the server on average. With those kinda maps you need 20+ players. I have some ideas:

-maybe Tendo could make our own orange_x3_pulp map which looks like viper
-we could do a rotation in the future where we leave one map on 24/7 for a week and then the next map and each week another map (the reason i'm saying this is because each time the map changes people leave the server)
-maybe let people vote what the map for the upcoming week will be

Personally i will always love orange_x3. I just has a lot of action and with the votesniper feature i think we improved it pretty good. I don't know what scrimshaw means by unbalanced because the map is almost symmetrical. The only problem is the players in your team, are they noobs or not.

I strongly agree with this statement. I think it's a matter of waiting for a map change and glancing at the clock. Then it's like o crap! That's what time it is?!?

Perhaps we should have a single map per week that we vote on? I still think we need at least three maps to rotate around, otherwise clan members get bored with the one map ALL the time.

that might be becasue people that play orange only like x3. they jst want it plan and simple. But we like more of a rotation. a break from x3. but we seem to lose members beasue a lot of people just like plan old x3.
