Re: Sub-Scrimteams
So what do you think Captain Jonesy? Should we put this idea in cptn. davy jones' locker and wait with it? Or should we plank it and let it drown in the depths of the innernet?

Medic time doesn't have to have to negatively impact your K:D ratio... the Ubersaw is my fourth most frag-tastic weapon.hyce777 wrote:If were bringing in KD ratio to this party, I want my stats reset. Months of in the field spy training and hours of medic do not help KD... Mine's at about... .6, or so.

Re: Sub-Scrimteams
I don't think resetting stats for players like you is wise Zurkov. Just for a scrimteam requirement? no. Thats why we introduced duels. Also recruiting scrimteam members is mainly done via observations of players in the pugs and regular play on orange.
Re: Sub-Scrimteams
Anyway, these are SUBscrimteams. Maybe k/d's or much skill isn't even needed to join the lowest-leveled subscrimteam. These sub-scrimteams will be designed to practice and perfect your class' skills.

Re: Sub-Scrimteams
Well, from when I last commented on this topic, I didn't like the idea but, I have to admit Cake, this idea of you'res has grown on me. But, I dont really think we should:
A) It would take too long
B) We need somebody who would be dedicated to it (ME!)

Re: Sub-Scrimteams
I'd be happy to be a sub-scrimteam leader and I'll be dedicated to it. Ofcourse I have to be a full member first and I don't know how much time it will take to organize stuff. Maybe if we do this, I'll be a leader if I'm not allowed or good enough for the (E)SF.

I'm fine with that. I just thought you possibly wouldn't have enough time to deal with both the ESF and a S-SF.

Awesomeness.
So is this topic going to end like this, or has someone to add something to it?
And I'd like to know if we're going to do this or not.

Re: Sub-Scrimteams
Didn't read all of this cuz it's very long and i can't concentrate worth of shit but here is a good idea....
Ranks
Rank 1: Your in the clan
Rank 2: You are better than rank 1 and participate in pugs
Rank 3: You are really good and you just need some more practice
Rank 4: You get to scrim, you are the first chosen
Rank 5: Captains, they are the best of the best
What you can compete in
Rank 1: Pugs
Rank 2: Pugs
Rank 3: Pugs/Scrim backup
Rank 4: Scrims/Pugs if their is an open spot but let the lower ranks play first, they can also start random pugs
Rank 5: Scrims(get to pick their teams)/Start pugs but only participate if their is an open spot that a lower level can not fill

Re: Sub-Scrimteams
wow so many idea's. If there is one thing in this clan we don't lack it's ideas! We need more competitive players, not everyone wants to play competitive. We could implement a rank system like that, we could also adapt the current stars ranking you see beneath each players avatar to work like this. But it does need a lot of work to setup a system like that and change the current organization.
Re: Sub-Scrimteams
That's also a good idea chuck. But the problem is that you can skip from rank 2 to rank 4 if you're really, really good already. Captains aren't always the best of the best too, I've known plenty of people who were much better than their captains or clanleaders. It's about if you want to organize the stuff too, not everybody likes organizing.
Anyway, it still is a good idea.

Re: Sub-Scrimteams
I support this thread. If we're going with the original rank system, and I get into the clan, I'd probably be a 2. If we're going with the latest suggestion, I don't know where I'd be....

Everyone would have to start at a 1 and work their way up

Re: Sub-Scrimteams
The ranks would be individual. What I meant with these so called sub-scrimteams are kind of PUG teams, but with set members. You should read at least half of the topic if you want to know what its about.

Re: Sub-Scrimteams
Then it wouldn't be a pug. Because a pug is not to have a set team every pug. If we were to do that, that would defeat the purpose of calling it a pug. Also they would be as the same purpose as our so called "scrim team" that doesn't even participate in a league. The crap that PULP has is not a scrim team but a set team for pugs with other clans or other so called scrim teams. The way I like to put is clan wars.

Re: Sub-Scrimteams
More Idea:
It is based on a point system. I don't know exactly how you would make this equation but if you compete in a pug you would get 5 for loosing team 10 for winning...maybe some points added in from the orange server...iono

Re: Sub-Scrimteams
Furgus, what I meant were KIND OF pug teams. These subscrimteams have a different purpose than doing pugs.
Pugs are for everybody, even the people who aren't in our clan.
Sub-scrimteams would have to take it up against each other (the other subscrimteam) till they get good enough to beat the scrimteam(best scrimteam of all) which takes it up against other clans.
So it's a competition within the clan to determine the best team which would be suited to represent our clan.

Re: Sub-Scrimteams
Oh, that sounds awesome. It would probably work. Like, set it up so that players with about even abilities work together to get better until they're the best?

Re: Sub-Scrimteams
Yeah, and in the meantime they can bond with their own set teammates. This would be another good way to make more friends. They can set up their own team tactics and point out eachothers flaws.
