Friday Prophunts

Well there comes a time where we are are bored of playing tf2. But you know what.....no one ever gets tired of playing hide and go seek. So why not make it prophunt on every Friday. We would select teams {before the game just like pugs} and we would continue playing until everyone would get tired of it. I was playing it today and had a blast. Rusty had some weird hiding places. And Gibbo is god at it too. It's something different than pugs or just playing competitively. So what do you guys think?

Polls have been limited to admins only with the exception being the Fun-stuff area. Also, you can always round up some people for a game on the pug server, no need to make these things official.

Well unless there's a pug, I guess this would be okay. But it's going to get old fast. PUGS would take precedence over this for me. Speaking of which, I was actually about to organize a new pug next friday.

Yea you can't preselect teams for prophunt. It works like arena where people get put on a team randomly. But I think it's easy enough to just grab a bunch of people to start some fun.

Yeah maybe we could like start a vote before the pug is over and see how many people would like to play.

We played prophunt yesterday... wasnt as fun

It was real fun the first time i played it but after a while it gets a little boring. Playing on new maps keeps it interesting and you also need at least 6-8 people. I agree that there is no need to schedule this every friday and that pugs take precedence over this.

Also when you launch an idea like this Furgus you should think about the total picture. This means who will organize them and what does are the consequences.

I would say we should try the other mods first.
(we did zombie mod, it sucked in my opinion)
And then maybe have a day where we do all of the mods we like. Its better than one mod, with only some people comming.

As eraser said, we need someone to organize this. Are you up to gathering everyone, every single time, and doing all that shizbiz? Jimmy can handle the maps and stuff, so you just gotta be motivating

Tell me about zombiemod, i missed that.

ZF was alright, but we need a lot more players for it to be viable. I feel as though it would have run much better with possibly 20+ players, maybe starting with 15 on 5 in favour of survivors. Also, i support the no sentry idea in ZF, because sentries are basically impossible to get by with melee only.

ZF has potential, but we really need to try out some more maps for them because the two we played weren't all that fun. I also support the no sentry idea since there is almost no way of taking one out, giving the spy his sapper and disguise back seems a bit weird since he is supposed to be a mindless zombie.

Idea for ZF map for the mappers/people who know fpsbanana well: a farm/house/small fortress in a corn field. After X minutes a chopper will pick the survivors up giving us an actual storyline instead of a senseless/mindless survival game.

Truthfully, i was going to make a rooftop defense, like in No Mercy.
BUT:
A) i dont want to make it unless i know we can get a good game going
B) it wont be super good, because the mod hasnt made a good impression on me



Reason for rooftop: no where to run, but down. Confined, and hard to defend.

Yea there's no way for me to disable those sentries but they do run out of bullets and the engy can't repair them. Also you can go spy and sneak around it.

I didn't play the mod but can't u just disable engie as class?

I think using the maxclass I can make map specific class limits so that may be possible.

I love this idea, Furgus! I think we should.

i think we should just have a little thing to say when we would like to have a prop hunt. then if we want one on short notice just go gathering pepole or something like that.

People don't enjoy being credit to the team, and that's their fault.
