Got my first car today.

So, today I went to my dad's house, because he told me I needed to mow his lawn. He told me to go to the garage and get the lawnmower. And when I opened the garage, I see a silver Volkswagen Golf inside. My dad then said "Surprise," telling me that it's my car.

So it's a 2004 VW Golf, with a 5 speed manual transmission and a 2 liter V4 engine that puts out... 115 horsepower or so. So it's not the fastest thing in the world, but then again, it is a nice car.

To top it off, it's my aunt's old car. I knew she was going to get rid of it, but I didn't know I'd be receiving it.

Nice! This was a very popular car in the Netherlands btw although the nicest car i had was a Ford.

Well it's sitting at my dad's house in his garage, next time I'm over there I'll take a few.

Oh and Vlad, once you get your car we all know what will happen. Either you'll turn it on, and then it'll fall apart, or you'll crash the second you drive it.

He'll get hit by his own car while it's parked.

where i live i get my permit this summer then half a year for day liscense then year for full liscense...

I was offered a car from a relative a couple of months ago. But I chose not to accept it. As an 18 year old student you don't really afford to own a car with all the insurence, tax and repairing costs
