hl2.exe has stopped working frustrations!

The occurences of this happening is starting to become more and more frequent.

First off this never happened to me when i first got tf2

Now this is happening and becoming more frequent, i tf2lobby scrim anymore due to this

During a heavy fire fight with skins on, it would occasionally go "LOL
HL2.EXE IS NOT WORKING TRY AGAIN BRO". And sometimes with skins enabled
when nothing is going on on my screen it would also crash like this. So
it happens during a fire fight, and during nothing at all

Disabling the skins has fixed this(only a bit) but i don't want to have to play without tf2 skins as they're so much more fun.

Are there any fixes to this or causes of this or no? If I need to
include any info, tell me how to get it. i'm kinda a newb to giving out
info of my computer

need more info, copy pasta of error or maybe a screen shot?

Verify TF2's cache; if this fails:

Rename your "team fortress 2" directory to anything, download your skins again (do not install them), run Team Fortress 2 and load a map, close TF2, install skins recently downloaded and import old maps and cfg files and anything else you think is safe at your discretion from your renamed directory to the newly created one. If this fails:

Redo second parahraph, but confine your imports to maps, so the only custom stuff is your skins and your maps. If this fails:
