Contest: functional sprays!

Pneu, pretty nice posters but i really don't understand why Jonesie keeps asking people for posters and what he intends to do with them. This is spray contest of which the winners will actually be used ingame. Can you make these into sprays? Please read the conditions at the beginning of this topic.

Also: I tried to convert the sprays made by Tendo (lol) and Dr. 69'er so they could be used ingame to promote this contest but after i converted them to vtf i could not spray them! Can you guys please convert them to vtf so we can use them? Anyone else who wants to make a spray to promote this contest i will be very thankful to.

I think the problem is that they are too big, a spray needs to be maximum 256x256 not to get squished when sprayed also there is a 120kB file-size limit that must not be exceeded or else nothing will show up at all.

This is the reason its unwise to use animated sprays, sprays with big proportions and sprays with tons of gradients as so much quality will have to be sacrificed in order for it to work properly.

I suggest you try to spray it and the console should tell you what the problem is.

Thanks Siphex, the files were indeed to not in that format. I rezised both and tested them. Unfortunately the one 69'er made is not readable ingame. The red on blu letters don't work out.

The one Tendo made actually looks pretty nice so i attached it as a zip file in the beginning of this topic (bottom)!

Just put the "tf" folder inside your "team fortress 2" folder and merge all folders and overwrite any other files by the same name if asked to.

You can put the Heavy layer over that girl then erase away .

Well, with Jonesie asking for posters, its not like we couldn't make those posters into custom textures, have people in PULP who map (Tendo and others) and put them in spawn, saying "welcome to pulp fortress" It would promote us more, but then again, the maps our community members make tend to be pulp exclusive

OH sorry about that Siphex. I'll change it into something else. But yeah Havik. You could do that. The only problem with it is that it will probably be to hard to understand the poster. Atleast in some cases.

Well it works on the server perfectly. You could understand the words and look at the picture perfectly. Try it yourself.
