Thanks 69'er!
Adam, looks nice. Can you add the URL in there. Or something like "Type join in chat now!"

Re: Contest: functional sprays!
These were not made for this contest but I will show em off anyways;
Jonesie requested posters and sprays before he showed me this contest thus the posters nor the sprays highlights all the things you wanted.
The posters are too big to look good as sprays but then I made a more specifik spray instead.

I could use that one for recruiting the ESF, if nobody posts anything better. Good job so far, 69er and Siphex! Keep up the good work!

Re: Contest: functional sprays!
69'er and Siphex, i love the posters and i don't know what Jonesie is told you but please read this:
Siphex sprays: I don't see an instruction for the reader on what to do (visit website or typ join in chat)
69'er: These are posters indeed, what we need is a spray that can be used ingame, so test it in game first before you post something here. Personally i think those fonts won't work in game (too small).
Eraserhead wrote:We have been discussing this in the admins forum and we would like to call upon all PULP members to who wish to make available their creative talent. We would like to have sprays that can be used ingame for recruiting new PULP members and finding people who want to participate in pugs.
So the sprays are:
A spray that attracts people to become PULP member
-spray in vtf format
-should read something people can type into chat (like app or join) OR go to www.pulpfortress.com or both? Just keep the instruction and amount of text as minimal as possible
A spray that attracts people to register for an upcoming pickup game
-spray in vtf format but also in a format that we can use to edit the text and make a new spray each time there is a pug
-should display the date and time (EST) of the pug and an instruction how to register (go to www.pulpfortress.com/pugs) or type pug in chat (we can change the chatcommand if you have better idea's)
Please post your sprays in this thread. The prize of the best spray for each category will get a custom hat of his choice (as soon as the custom hats are working again...)! The only condition is that there are at least 4 contestants.
Post your sprays here!

Re: Contest: functional sprays!
Ok Ill tamper with the size of the fonts a bit and see if they work in game

Re: Contest: functional sprays!
As I said: "Jonesie requested posters and sprays before he showed me this contest thus the posters nor the sprays highlights all the things you wanted."
Thus I'm making a new set of spray sized posters more focused on recruitment.

Eraserhead wrote:So who made that video?
Btw we only have one contestant now. Maybe someone we can make a quick spray that says:
Want to earn your own custom hat?
Join the PULP spray design contest!
Type 'spray' in chat now!
Maybe someone could make this spray so we have more contestants.

Re: Contest: functional sprays!
Maybe the spy in the ''meet the spy'' video should be included in the spray. The stance with the revolver when he kills the engie would look awesome. Somewhere here in the vid, if you can get a clear shot;

This is a 5 minute thing right now. I'm looking for ways to make it better. Btw Gimp is a lot better than Photoshop. And it's easier to use.

Re: Contest: functional sprays!
Well, sorry, but I was just on Wikipedia and it said that Photoshop cost a few k. Considering this, Photoshop is automatically superior.Furgus wrote:Btw Gimp is a lot better than Photoshop. And it's easier to use.
But, uh, I seriously think PS is better.

Re: Contest: functional sprays!
The only thing thats better with GIMP is that its free, GIMP got nothing on Photoshop utility wise.

Re: Contest: functional sprays!
I have both Gimp and Photoshop (legally ). I have to agree that I like Gimp better for quick stuff. Much easier to get little touchups done too. But I also agree that Photoshop can do more. Depends on what project I'm working on as to which of the 2 I use.

Re: Contest: functional sprays!
the thing i like about gimp is that it's open source, so if i really got around to it, i could write my own plugins for it.
infinite capability.

Re: Contest: functional sprays!
i'm about 4 years away from doing anything like that, the most i could make at this point is something akin to "paint".
the crappy old one, not the new semi-decent one.

Re: Contest: functional sprays!
Here is a new set of sprays;
When I took the screenies the server was heavily populated.
I made one for Regular Pulp Fortress, one for Europe and one for PUG as you may see.
