Ok so now that I am confident that the plugin is working I am going to start taking in the requests for changes. I am sure there will be quite a few requests for different things so please follow the correct format.

If your request is not in proper format it may be skipped so please follow the directions.

Class:
Initial Limit (when 1v1):
When Limit should change(4v4,8v8,etc):
Limit after change:


Feel free to include more than one change if you desire. I will wait til we get a bunch of requests in and then I will try my best to sort them so they can be voted on.

Make a one sniper available when it hits 4v4 never change it

Why should sniper be availble when there are only 8 people on the server? It's boring when you have to run to the other side of the map to kill a sniper if you are not a sniper yourself. Think about it. It's only fun for two snipers fighting each other.

We'll take turning it off into consideration after we give the limits a chance with the changes that are suggested through here. The initial limits may have been annoying to a few people but were necessary to ensure that the plugin worked.

Give it a chance after we make the changes. Just like we turned off votesniper if everyone wants this off we'll turn it off but I think when it's fine tuned it will be to the benefit of everyone.

After playing for abut 6 hours with these new limits, I've got a few suggestions, nothing drastic.

Class: Soldier
Initial Limit (when 1v1): 1
When Limit should change(4v4,8v8,etc): 4v4 (8 players total)
Limit after change: 2


Soldiers don't decimate on this map like a great scout or sniper, so I don't see the harm in letting this popular class be played. Also, I felt as though the 2 and 3 increases were a little too close together.

Class: Scout
Initial Limit (when 1v1): 1
When Limit should change(4v4,8v8,etc): 9v9 (18 players total)
Limit after change: 3 (should not change to three at 7v7, only at 9v9)


I don't believe 3 scouts with 7 players is necessary, that's almost half the team.

Class: Medic
Initial Limit (when 1v1):1
When Limit should change(4v4,8v8,etc): 7v7
Limit after change:2


My reasoning for the last one is to match up an increase in medics with the increase in soldiers to three and demomen to three. Heavies also currently go up to 2 before medic goes to 2, so this would fix that as well.

then i vote to get rid of it completely it screws people over so bad, it is good in theory but does not work in the field. Like if you get team switched you get screwed, or if there are less than 10 people on the server it usually sucks

Jonesie, Miht and others. Please provide valid arguments (like Greezy did) when you propose a change. Simply shouting that you want something turned off does not work in the real world.

About that Huntsman-only thing... you couldn't set it to restrict the weapon until a certain number of player join? I know you can restrict the Sniper rifle using SourceMod because DPErny did it with Medieval Fortress.

Just an opinion. This plugin is perfect when the server has a lot of players but currently when we play a little game of 5v5, you can't play the class you would like to play because someone already plays it and it really annoys me and frustrates me. I agree that we shouild use this plugin to limit the sniping and scouting spam but being limited to 1 soldi or 1 demo when you wanna play those classes just frustrates me and make me leave. When I play TF2, I wanna be able to play the class I want to play. I saw that some people were joining, saying : why cant i be X class? and then leaving...

so here i would see it in proper format Very Happy

I have looked for a plugin that does this before but could not find it.

Here is a VAILD argument;
The class limit is very annoying because I was playing Soldier for like an hour then it switiches me to Pyro. I was owning as Solly then it switches me. So all I'm saying is, put the limits back to normal, or just keep the limits but, dont make certain people to join to only play ONE class!

Jameless, is there a cvar that disables people getting kicked out of a class when the amount of players drop? I think what you suggesting is maybe to allow two soldiers at all times Jonesie?
