A guide for skins is nice. But i would be more interested in a guide on how to do 3D modelling. So we can make our own hats and other bodywear.

a guide for 3d modeling?

i think you underestimate the amount of knowledge and experience needed. i'm not exaggerating when i say it's as hard as learning a language, and not a computer language. it's the kind of thing that takes years. you'll find guides that cover an individual aspect of a specific program that are close to 50 pages long. i've been using Cinema 4d for roughly 5 years now and i still have yet to learn everything.

Word. Modeling is incredibly involving.
One guide I'd like to see (not for my self, in particular) is how to torrent. It has become clear to me (and pepper) that a few of our members have yet to become even slightly familiarized with torrenting, and this astonishes me. I understand that we have to put on the image of "against piracy" but here is the thing:
Torrenting =/= Piracy

True, which is why I strongly promote people to actually buy the game, movie, album or whatever they downloaded if they liked it. I download a game first and buy it when the price drops under €30 because I am NOT willing to pay €60 to €70 for a game that costs $60 in the states (Latest Pach-Attack on gametrailers explains why this is). Also, demo's often give you a blurred vision of a game, just one or two levels doesn't give yout he overall feeling of a game.
Movies I watch in the cinema or buy on DVD if I liked them, most of the times they cost nothing or end in the 3 for €25 bin.
Music I download, buy on CD or vinyl unless I don't really like the band. Also, concerts!
Books I buy because they cost hardly anything to me because I only read English books due to the fact I can't follow in Dutch translated books for some weird reason.

Now back on-topic please Razz

You can't just claim win7 is better then any operating system without a reason, and winxp is still better then win7 in many ways. I admit, Microsoft finally made an OS for idiots that can help solve problems for them, but winxp doesn't use very much system resource that win7 does and win7 uses a lot of resources from the graphic card too.

Guide on how to write a guide, will do (lol).

Telling people why win7 is better IS NOT a guide, it's a debate. Feel free to start one in the tech forum. Also in short;
While talking resources: XP > Win7
While talking user friendliness: Win7 > XP
While talking overall POV: XP = Win7

Edit: ninja'd by Vital who for the first time is actually not trolling o.O

I used to have WinXP and loved it. Now I have Win7 and I have noticed a supreme performance decrease in all my games. But I like it more, so it gives and it takes.

No doubt Vista is crap, though. But, without it, 7 would not be this great.
